Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this site and reach us, including people who use a screen reader, a screen magnifier, or only a keyboard.

What We Work Toward

We work toward Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. The site has real headings and page regions, text descriptions on its images, labeled form fields, and a skip link, and it can be used with a keyboard alone and at high zoom. We can't promise that every page works perfectly with every device and screen reader, so if something gets in your way we want to hear about it.

How We Check It

As of the date above, we have run every page through automated accessibility checkers (axe-core, HTML_CodeSniffer, and IBM Equal Access) and tested keyboard-only use, page zoom, larger text spacing, and high-contrast mode. Automated checkers can't find every problem, so a clean result is a starting point, and we want to hear about anything they missed.

Known Limits

Drawing sheets. The example plats on this site are technical drawings in PDF form. The PDF files are not tagged for screen readers, and a drawing can't be fully expressed as text, so each sheet has a written description on the page. If you need information from a sheet, contact us and we will go through it with you.

Google Maps. The map on our contact page comes from Google, and we don't control how it works. Our address and a link for directions are on the same page as regular text.

Consultation booking. Online booking runs on Microsoft Bookings, which we also don't control. If it gives you trouble, call or email us and we will schedule the consultation for you.

If you have trouble with any part of this site, or need something from it in another format, please contact us. Tell us which page you were on and what happened. You never have to use the website to work with us: we will take your survey request by phone or email in place of the contact form.

We normally respond within three business days.
